Boundary dev mode is designed for local exploration. Production deployments require a highly available (HA) cluster with at least 3 controllers and 3 workers for fault tolerance. This page points to the reference architecture and Terraform files for deploying a production cluster on AWS.

The following diagram shows a general architecture on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

You should run a minimum of 3 controllers and 3 workers for fault tolerance.
